Ritorna attivo il servizio di statistiche dei canali (ChanStats)

Dopo diverso tempo e' finalmente tornato attivo il servizio ChanStats.

Per chi non conoscesse il servizio ChanStats è un service che sosterà in canale per poter poi generare una pagina contenente le statistiche del canale all'indirizzo: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/nomecanale (Esempio http://chanstats.azzurra.org/italia).

Oltre alla semplice pagina di statistiche del canale tornano disponibili anche i seguenti servizi:

User Status
È possibile poter segnalare la vostra presenza/assenza tramite una semplice icona disponibile all'indirizzo: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/nick.gif (esempio: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/sonic.gif).
Se invece volete scrivere un vostro script o volete semplicemente conoscere lo status di un utente in modo testuale potete usare l'URL http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/nick.dat che restituirà 1 nel caso l'utente sia online, 0 altrimenti.

Numero di Utenti in Canale
Oltre a poter usare l'immagine: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/nomecanale.png che mostra graficamente il numero di utenti (es: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/italia.png) potete usare il link http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/canale.dat per avere alcune informazioni in forma testuale. (esempio: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/italia.dat) i numeri rappresentano nell'ordine: Utenti Totali, Numero di Op, Numero di HalfOp, Numero di Voice e per finire il numero di utenti normali in canale.

Upload Avatar
Attualmente l'upload del proprio avatar da mostrare accanto alle statistiche non è disponibile, gli utenti che anni fa avevano già caricato un proprio avatar continueranno a vederlo.
Cercheremo di ripristinare questo servizio il prima possibile, stiamo lavorando su un nuovo sistema di comunicazione tra servizi IRC e web .

È possibile richiedere il bot completando il form presente a questo indirizzo: http://www.azzurra.org/azzurrabot.php?mod=botrequest e selezionando ChanStats tra la lista dei bot.

NOTA: ChanStats per poter funzionare loggherà ogni cosa che avviene in canale, i logs verranno conservati per 1 settimana trascorsa la quale i logs verranno cancellati e parte delle statistiche resettate.

We are pleased to announce that the channel statistics service (ChanStats) has been restored.

For those who didn't use the service before, upon request ChanStats will join a channel and will periodically generate statistics for said channel at the address http://chanstats.azzurra.org/channelname (for instance: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/italia).

In addition to the aforementioned channel statistics, ChanStats will restore the following services:

User Status Badge
You can embed a simple badge showing your status on IRC (online/offline) by using an URL like http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/nick.gif (for instance: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/morph.gif).
If you want to process IRC status programmatically, you can fetch the URL http://chanstats.azzurra.org/userstatus/nick.dat. It will contain a single digit - 1 if the nick is online from ChanStats' point of view, 0 otherwise.

Channel User Count
You can get a graph of current users in a channel using an URL like http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/channelname.png (for instance: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/italia.png). If you need to access that data programmatically, you can fetch the URL http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/channelname.dat (for instance: http://chanstats.azzurra.org/counters/italia.dat). Its contents will be (in order): total number of users, number of channel operators, number of channel half-operators, number of channel voices, number of normal users.

Avatar Upload
Unfortunately, the avatar upload service is not yet available due to ongoing maintenance. Old avatars are unaffected and will still be visible.
We are doing our very best to restore the service as soon as humanly possible, so stay tuned for more news

You can request the ChanStats service for your channel by filling in and submitting the form at http://www.azzurra.org/azzurrabot.php?mod=botrequest (italian only - we are working on this, too) and selecting ChanStats as the bot being requested.

NOTE: In order for ChanStats to compute its statistics, it will log any activity on your channel regardless of any channel mode. Logs will be preserved for one week, after which they will be erased and some statistics will be reset.
